Recording Initial Contacts
Overview
Here you will learn how to register potential customers in the system and how to capture primary and additional information about the contact, interest, and request to follow up with the sales opportunity.

Registering Interactions With Potential Customers
After a contact with the potential customer, you need to register this interaction in the system.
Note: before you register interactions, make sure they are enabled in Master data and settings > Settings > Organizer (select the Business interactions checkbox). This allows you to register interaction of the following types: appointment, scheduled interaction, phone call, text message, and email.
- Go to Quick menu > Business Interactions.
- Click Create and select the interaction kind.

5. On the Participants tab, add as many potential customers as you need and specify their contact info.

You can easily convert the participant of a business interaction into a partner/counterparty in the system. To do this:
- Go to Quick menu > Business Interactions.
- Open the required business interaction.
- On the Participants tab, select the previously added contact, click Create contact > Partners (Counterparties).
4. In the Partner (Counterparty) registration wizard workplace, enter the contact information.
5. Click Next till the end.

6. Get back to the Business interaction document and double-click the contact on the Participants tab.
7. Click three dots next to the contact.
8. In the Select contact menu, go to the Partners (Counterparties) tab.
9. Select the Partner (Counterparty), click Create above the Contact person section.

10. In the Contact person card, enter a Full name, Position, and other personal information.
Sales Opportunities Overview
Sales opportunities allow you to register all stages of the sales process, starting from the moment of a potential customer registration to the moment of shipment of goods to the customer (successful completion of a sales opportunity). The system can record every stage your customer passes as well as at which stage the client "falls off".
To enable sales opportunities in the system:
- Go to Master data and settings > CRM and Marketing.
- Under CRM settings, select Sales opportunities.
Creating Sales Opportunities Based on Interactions
To create a sales opportunity:
- Go to Quick menu > Business interactions.
- Open the required business interaction.
- Click Generate > Sales opportunity.
- On the General information tab, fill in the working name in the Description field.
- Select the Partner and Terms of sales (if there are any).
- Select the Person responsible.
- Estimate the customer's budget and enter it in the Revenue expectations field.
- Specify the initial Probability of converting an opportunity into a sales order.
- Set the In progress status.
10. On the Parties tab, click Add and specify a Partner (Counterparty) and a Contact person.
11. Add additional information in the Comment field.
