Omnichannel message

Omnichannel message feature allows you to send messages to parents via various channels at once (emai, communicator, SMS).

To create an omnichannel message:
  1. Go to School > Omnichannel message (under Tools or under See also).
  2. Click Create.
  3. Enter the Subject.
  4. Add the recipients. There are two ways:
  • Manually by clicking Add (you will have to fill in all the details manually).
  • In bulk by clicking Select contacts (all the details will be populated automatically).
In the second case:

  1. Apply the filters you need. You can set filter by customer/supplier, by balance (specify if student's outstanding balance is greater, less, or equal to a particular amount), by class, and by grade.
  2. Select the students in the list on the left (press Ctrl+A to select all).
  3. Click > to move the selected students to the right table.
  4. Click Finish.
The table will be filled in as follows: student (name of the student), contact name (name of the parent), email, phone number, communicator user (parent name in the Communicator app).

The system also marks what parents have valid email, phone number, and an account in the Communicator app (Available column). This indicates whether you can send messages to these parents via the specified channels.

In order NOT to send an email/communicator message/ SMS to a particular user (even if this option is available), you can clear the checkbox in the Marked column. The message will not be sent over the cleared channel.

The Send and Read columns specify whether the message is sent to the recipient and read.
5. Create messages for parents:

To create an email message, click Edit Email.
To create a communicator message, click Edit Communicator Message.
To create an SMS, click Edit SMS.

Then enter the message text on the Content tab. Save at the end.

6. Once everything is done, click Send.
