Subassembly Scheduling
When creating the Kitting schedule document, you can schedule a subassembly of components (the Plan subassemblies button). The result of subassembly scheduling is to add kits included in the specified kits to the Kits tab.
Subassembly scheduling is possible if one kit has another kit in the list of its component. In this case, not only the assembly of the main set kit, but also the assembly of the kit that is a part of the main kit will be automatically scheduled.
You can schedule subassembly in the Kitting schedule document if the warehouse is specified in the kitting schedule.
Components whose subassembly is planned are highlighted in brown on the Kits tab of the Kitting schedule document, and their planning status to To plan. Once the subassembly is planned, the status is set to Completed. If subassembly scheduling is not needed, the status is set to Not required.
Analyzing Kitting Schedules
To analyze the actual state of kitting and reverse kitting by plans, use the Kitting schedule by warehouses report in Planning – Budgeting and planning reports.
To check the compliance and fulfillment of kitting schedules with other types of plans, use the Plan balance for the period report in Planning – Budgeting and planning reports. You can also open it from the Kitting schedule by clicking Reports – Plan balance.
