Controlling Goods Availability for Supply
Overview
Before you confirm the order, you need to verify whether the quantity of goods required by the order can be delivered from the warehouse on time During the process, the current available stock and expected goods delivery are considered.
Reviewing Goods Availability States
- Go to Warehouse and delivery > Order supply forecast.
- Select the order list and expand its lines.
- Review the item, the variant, the Warehouse from which these items must be supplied, the Quantity to be supplied, and the Requested supply date.
- Review the State column, find the lines with the Supplied at warehouse state. These goods are now available in stock.
- Find the lines with the Expected state. These goods will be available by a confirmed supply order. The Date of supply is defined according to the supply order information.
- Find the lines with the Expected out-of-date state. These goods will be available by an unconfirmed supply order. The Date of supply is defined according to the standard lead times.
- Find the lines with the Supply state. The supply of these goods is not initiated. The Date of supply is defined according to the standard lead times.
- Compare the Requested supply date with the Date of supply.
- In the Supply order reference column, drill down to supply orders if necessary.
Updating Orders
If you see that some goods cannot be delivered from the warehouse on time, find the order that contains the same item with the latest Date of supply and consider the following:
- Move the order delivery date forward.
- Split the order delivery.
- Exclude the items that cannot be delivered on time.
If agreed by all responsible persons, update the order:
- Go to Warehouse and delivery > Order supply forecast.
- Open the required order.
- Make the necessary changes and post the order.
