Assessing Customer Credit Risks

Before you approve a sales order for the customer, you might want to make sure that the customer is financially reliable.

Credit Check For Customers

  1. Go to Sales > Sales orders and open the required one.
  2. Click Generate > Duty.
  3. Create a task request for a credit manager to perform a credit check for a customer.

Analyzing Customer Receivables

There are some useful reports to check the credit management data and identify the least reliable customers to prevent a possible increase in overdue receivables. To access them, go to Sales > Sales reports:
  • Trends of customer receivables overdue allows you to analyze overdue receivables split by period.
  • Payment discipline of customers report shows the total receivables overdue by selected period. You can see how often the customer delays payment and analyze the average overdue period.
  • Customer receivables, by deadlines report displays the current state of receivables and identify clients with the greatest payment delays with a breakdown by debt intervals. For example, not overdue, 1 to 2 days, 45 to 56 days, over 180 days, etc.

Sending Notifications to Customers

If there is an overdue debt, you might want to notify your customer of it. In 1C:ERP, you can set up automatic notifications (generated by the system) and mailouts (SMS or emails created manually).
You enable sending emails:
  1. Go to Master data and settings > Organizer.
  2. Select the System email client checkbox.
  3. To create templates of emails and text messages, under Notes, reminders, survey and massage templates, select Message templates.
  4. Click Email settings to set up an email client to send messages from the system.

  7. Select whether you want to use this account to Send mail or Receive mail.
  8. Select who will be able to use this account: All users or Me only.
  9. Specify the Sender's name.
Once the system email account is created, you can use it to send emails and notifications to customers.
To notify a customer of an overdue debt:
  1. Go to CRM and marketing > Settings and catalogs > Mailouts and notifications to customers.
  2. Open Groups of mailouts and notifications.
  3. To send messages by email, select the Send emails checkbox and specify your email Account.

  7. Set up the schedule so that the messages can be automatically generated and sent to the customer.
  8. Run scheduled task requests periodically to ensure that messages to customers are prepared in a timely manner.
The system will automatically analyze the data in the database according to the schedule, identify customers with an overdue debt, and generate notifications to them based on the specified template.

Rejecting Sales Orders for Shipping

If there are two or more notifications about overdue debts sent to the customer, a credit manager informs a sales person about it. If a high credit risk is identified upon the sales order approval process, reject the sales order. The system will block it for shipment automatically.

Unblocking Sales Orders for Shipping

To unblock the sales orders for shipment, ask the user with extended system rights to set the For completion status for this sales order.
